Wiley X Eyewear Motorcycle Testimonials
May 2008
I would like to sincerely thank the makers of the Wiley X prescription motorcycle goggle ANSI Z87.1 CE. The XL-1’s withstood a face-down impact at the speed limit of 45 mph without splintering or breaking apart. I was wearing a helmet which protected my head and the XL-1's protected my eye area. I am also attaching a picture of the heavily scraped XL-1's. Thanks to my wife, Jackie, who was a passenger, for being able to type this email for me. Ron from Newtown, PA
P.S. I choose this particular goggle because I have a narrow face and I needed a proper fit.
April 2008
On Saturday morning April 26, 2008 I was out for an early morning ride. I had a few rides to work and back during the week. I really felt like just riding for a few hours straight and a return home for lunch. I had just been riding for 7 or 8 miles when a dump truck towing a construction trailer with a excavator on it pulled out in front of me. I had to brake a little to give some distance while he was shifting gears to get up to the 35 to 40 mph speed limit. All of a sudden he hit a pot hole and all sorts of dirt and rocks fell off from the trailer. The next thing I knew it was just like someone had shot into the right lens of my XL-1’s with a bb or pellet gun. I was doing about 35 mph at the time. I could see on the lens that it had definitely left a mark. I was amazed the lens didn't break. When I was able to pull over and look at the lens there was a 1/4" clean cut in to the lens. I am quite sure that any other pair of glasses would have shattered. I feel lucky I don't wear cheap eye protection while riding. Thank you for making such a high quality product. Roger |

I was very fortunate to have been wearing the Polarized AirRage glasses over Memorial Day weekend when I rode with some family down to North Carolina. I was wearing them when a stone from the tire of a truck in front of me struck me in the right lens of my glasses. It was big enough to scare the hell out of me, but the glasses stayed in one piece. I have no doubt that if I was wearing my regular sunglasses, I would have been injured that day. Mike L

Last week I was riding my H-D and wearing my XL-1 L.A. glasses when a branch fell out of a tree striking me across the eyes & nose. Needless to say it broke the glasses & my nose, blacking both my eyes. Without my Xl-1 glasses on I would be blind now. So thank you & keep up the good work helping us biker types be safe.
